What are The Healing Arts?

by Mandee Elam

(Co-Founder and GIC, Sea Goddess Healing Arts/Intuitive Ascension Guide)

Healing Art or a Healing Artist is a person, thing, experience, or place that awakens in you the opportunity and possibilities to heal yourself. Why do people want to heal? Typically to create some sort of relief or peace in their mind, body, or Soul.

Healing can include many things. It could be heartache, a physical wound, an emotional wound, mental wound, or environmental wound. Typically, if we want to heal, there's something we are trying to heal from. When it comes down to it, the only person who can heal you is you. Sometimes we need some helpers or guides along our healing journey. However, you must consciously allow or embrace their medicine in order for their healing art to heal you. Healing is a divine experience that happens to us and for us, but we must be first open to receiving it.

Rumi says "the wound is the place where the light gets in." Light is what our Souls are made of. When we heal, we are often revealing or calling back pieces of Souls, depending on where we are on our journeys, and the polarity of our perspective. Healing Art reveals the light of the artist and how they share their Soul's work. Pieces of their Soul's work can spark, or call back, pieces of your Soul and bright light. For we are all reflections. At Sea Goddess Healing Arts we believe that light can heal and transmute anything. That light on a wound or shadow can sometimes be the most healing balm. Let there be light, is one of the most powerful healing affirmations we can co-create with.

Birth of the Sea Goddess Logo

by Rachel Ahava

(Co-founder and Creative Director, Sea Goddess Healing Arts)

It was early in my friendship with co-founder Mandee Elam, when she mentioned to me an idea for a collective called Sea Goddess Healing Arts, which came from a recent vision she had of a Sea Goddess emerging from the ocean on a wave. As Mandee described what she had seen, it was almost as if I could immediately feel HER within me trying to take form. I grabbed my sketchbook and drew a rough sketch and quickly went to town on my computer allowing the Sea Goddess to flow through me.

As a professional graphic designer for over 20 years, I have worked on countless projects and every once in a while I get the privilege as an artist to work on something so inspired that you stand back from your creation and say “Wow! How the heck did I do that?”. There is an indescribable feeling that locks in when I am no longer designing but channeling something beyond me. The Sea Goddess Logo begged to be birthed and it has been the highlight of my career to bring her to life. She is more than a mermaid, she represents each one of us and the divine feminine energies rising on the planet at this time. May she inspire you to shine your divine light onto the world as she guides us into a new age of peace and prosperity.

November's Crystal Selection

Topaz

by Kendra Hammell, Higher Self Healing

Raw Brazilian Topaz

So not only is Topaz the birthstone of the month, but it also is beneficial as an ally when setting personal attainment goals as it is incredibly supportive for affirmations and manifestation work. We all know that tis the season of overindulgence! Usually after our holiday hangovers, we start claiming our New Year's Resolutions. How fitting is it that Topaz can help you get focused and achieve those goals! It's hard to believe that 2022 is right around the corner and the varieties of the stone and their properties can assist in whatever you may be trying to achieve.

Topaz comes in a variety of colors and they all have amazing qualities for healing and growth, no matter what stage of exploration you are in with crystals. Here are a few of my favorites:

  • Golden Topaz, or Imperial Topaz, is like a battery charger for our Spiritual and Physical systems and recharges our faith and optimism. This is great for anyone who may get the Holiday blues!

  • Pink Topaz is a great tool for obtaining radiant health and vitality, and aids in clearing out Dis-ease. I would love to gift this to anyone who is working on improving their health this year or battling something physically or emotionally.

  • Blue topaz carries Peace; it helps you express yourself with grace instead of rage. It helps integrate lessons and gain knowledge of your experiences.

  • White Topaz is a great stone to help see the positive in life and the good in people and situations. It helps with visualizations and creating positive outcomes. It assists with becoming co-creators with the Divine as it aligns your words with truth. It will awaken your inner mystic.

Custom Grid by Kendra Featuring Topaz (Center Stone)

Topaz is mined in the United States in San Diego County, California, Colorado, Utah and Texas. If ever visiting these states or if you live there, you should check out mining sites open to the public so you can find your own personal piece. If you already have a Topaz ring, necklace or earrings, I hope you get to enjoy them a little more now, or notice when you feel called to wear them. That is, after all, how we connect with these amazing stones, intuitively and always divinely guided.

New Moon in Scorpio ~ Emotional Regeneration

This month’s New Moon occurs today, Thursday, November 4th at 5:15 pm (EDT) in the zodiac sign of Scorpio. The energy of this New Moon packs a punch and is full of potential for digging deep into our emotional caverns. What are we looking for? Parts of ourselves that are stagnant or frozen in time from giving our power away to others, or even to the shadows of ourselves. There’s a challenge, and great supportive energy, to examine and excavate, observe and release. We are encouraged to embrace the Spirit of rebellion and change, moving forward out of our comfort zones, even if this means standing up against “authority”.

The Scorpionic process is to bring our deepest emotions to the surface, out of the realms of fixation and invisibility, for break down, break through and regeneration. Somberness, or even borderline brooding, may flavor the vibe and feeling into any emotions that arise is part of the experience. As you set intentions and/or have a ceremony under the energy of this New Moon, focus on these themes. Calling in your Team Spirit and ancestors for assistance would be a wonderful addition as the veil is at its thinnest at this time. If any tension is felt, diving into something creative would be a great outlet. This New Moon also opens the portal for the final eclipse season of 2021.

Full Moon in Taurus/Lunar Eclipse

This month’s Full Moon, which is also a Lunar Eclipse, occurs on Friday, November 19th at 4:57 am (EST) in the final degrees of the zodiac sign of Taurus. The collective experience of this eclipse season (November 4th - December 18th) is release of limiting beliefs that are holding us back from being our truest selves. The intense energies during the Full Moon experience are due to the fullness of the light reflected on us by the Moon, as well as the duality of the opposition (180 degrees) between the Sun and the Moon. Oppositions create tension and an opportunity for balancing the energies of the planets and the zodiac signs. We feel this with every Full Moon, balancing our conscious selves (Sun) and emotional, subconscious selves (Moon). The style through which the energies express is flavored by the opposing signs.

This month’s Full Moon is characterized by the Scorpio (Sun) and Taurus (Moon) duality. The Scorpio/Taurus axis of the zodiac is the unseen and the seen, the nonphysical and the physical, regeneration and generation, sexuality and sensuality and power dynamics between how we merge with others versus how we fend for ourselves, respectively. There is an extra challenge during this Full Moon regarding innovation, collaboration and humanitarian efforts that can be achieved when we work together as a community and a group rather than solely individual contributions.

What fears, emotions or beliefs can be released that may be holding you back from an even greater potential that can be realized with collaboration and group efforts.

Witch wounds, much?

Hold off on usual Full Moon rituals or routines until after the eclipse season has ended. Eclipse seasons are times of great change and uncertainty, and are energetic portals through which more energies are present in our realm than usual. Pay attention to what’s coming up in your consciousness. Anything that’s coming up, or in, that may be nudging you to change something in your life is important, and be sure to practice energetic protection more often than usual. This is a powerful time during which things that are no longer serving your highest good or purpose may be revealed, especially things in your personal philosophy, belief system and connection to your higher self.

This Full Moon occurs at the very end of Scorpio season; Sagittarius season begins on November 21st around 10 pm (EDT). For more information about the eclipse, click here.

Astrological Aromatherapy

Patchouli oil (Pogostemon cablin) is the signature oil for the zodiac sign Scorpio, and is wonderfully calming, grounding and facilitates meditation. It's distilled from the lush, rich leaves of the plant and has many variations including "vintage" Patchouli oil; it has one of the longest shelf lives of essential oils. It's a very strong, dominating oil. like its zodiac counterpart, and a little goes a long way. My appreciation of and intimacy with Patchouli was birthed from my Aromatherapy studies. Patchouli is also used widely in skin care.

The Patchouli Plant

Whenever you're feeling emotionally overwhelmed or overly sensitive, Patchouli's earthy aroma is perfect for grounding and protection. Its energy reminds us that we're Spirit having an Earthly experience in this human form.
