It's pretty much what we all strive for right? To be balanced and abundant. Loved and worthy. Having the job, partner, and life of our dreams. Yet finding balance is a really hard thing in our world. I believe we designed it that way, but that's a discussion for another day.

Abundance can only happen when we are in a state of balance. When we are in a state of overwhelm, which includes any of the lower vibrational feelings (grief, shame, criticism, guilt jealousy, anger, stress, anxiety, to name a few) for long periods of time, it begins to block some of our chakras and our portals of abundance. The universe wants to give us all that we want and desire, but if our energy says no because our vibe is overwhelmed, it cannot because we signal we are not ready to receive.

When we find balance in our life, we begin to find some peace. We breathe more. We become present and we're able to relax and open our chakras up to those portals of abundance. The concept of balance is easy, but to obtain it requires actual action steps and true work. You have to show up for each and every area of your life, bring order to it, and then sew them all together, as much as possible, while flowing with the other parts of the universe, people and situations that we are encouraged to connect with. It's a dance and an art.

Here are a few of my favorite steps to find a balance in your life...

  1. Make a list of all the areas in your life that are important to you, require consistent time, energy and attention from you. Then give them a rough percentage of how much time you want to devote to each one. For instance, 40% my career 40% my family, friends, partner, dog. 20% home. This is basic, but you get the gist. What does that look like each day? It's wonderful to have a full and balanced life, but it's important to make sure that you don't over commit to yourself and others. Doing that causes rough energy for everyone, especially you.

  2. Create a schedule. It doesn't have to be super detailed. However, when you write things down and you set a goal, you tend to attain it. You have plans. You have things to look forward to, commitments to keep, and relationships you grow because of that. They say the only reason we walked on the moon is because JFK set a goal for us to do it by the end of the '60s. If you have an intention. Write it down. The universe loves that shit and will make magic happen.

  3. Be sure that whatever you have created brings light and joy to your heart. These are things that you don't mind wasting your time doing. You'll even find, it's not wasted time. It's actually super valuable because you're incredibly present in the moment. That's where all the magic happens. Have Grace with yourself. Set intentions, take action, and trust that when the divine timing is right, you'll really stick to some things and you will start to find your balance.

  4. Embody it when you can. Literally drop into your body and balance. I love standing on one foot, then the other and balancing back and forth. This is great when doing small chores and tasks like brushing my teeth, doing the dishes or watering the garden. Making micro movements throughout our day, that represent balance, really helps to draw in that balancing energy.

What can you do to create more balance in your life today?

Looking UP in Awe and Wonder

Virgo and Libra Teach Us About Abundance and Balance

As usual, Natural Law can teach us many lessons about being and feeling abundant, bountiful and balanced. The Hermetic Law of Correspondence, As Above, so Below...teaches us that everything that exists outside of oneself on all planes of existence, also exists within. Our outer worlds are a direct reflection of our inner worlds. Take a look around you. Are your surroundings balanced and abundant? If not, that may be a key and a nudge to look within. There are many tools and resources contained in this month's Soul Broadcast! We can also look to the Cosmos for tools and resources; knowing the Cosmic energies of the planets and the zodiac signs can help us tap into the energy of our "seasons". This is an ideal theme for our current zodiac season, Virgo, and the one we'll move into on the Equinox, Libra.

Virgo is the harvest season here in the Northern Hemisphere, roughly August 23rd - September 22nd. It's an Earth sign that teaches us about the abundance nature has to offer us, and how every part of nature in its simplest form nourishes our body, mind and spirit. Virgo also teaches us that we are perfectly imperfect and about assimilation to our environments. It relates to the breakdown of what surrounds us, food, energy, information, and how we consume and digest things info ourselves in the most efficient way. Virgo is ruled by the planet Mercury.

Libra season begins at the Equinox, roughly September 22nd - October 23rd. The Equinoxes are times of the year that show us perfect balance, particularly between light and dark. The word Equinox is composed of two parts: Equi (equal) and Nox (night), and marks the beginning of the Autumn season here in the Northern Hemisphere, as well as the Libra zodiac "season". Libra is the sign that most directly teaches us about balance, from the equinox moment that marks its beginning, to its general themes of harmony, grace, aesthetics, peace and fairness. In reality, these themes are in a constant state of flux, and achieving balance is having an awareness of all the moving parts in one's life, knowing that minor tweaks to everything with intentional and mindful attention means living in the moment and knowing that sometimes there's even beauty in chaos. If you've ever practiced Yoga, you know that muscular vibration going on beneath what may seem on the outside like the perfectly balanced pose. There's a constant flow of energy in balance and equilibrium. Libra is ruled by the planet Venus.

When we look to the rulers of these zodiac signs, we're in the context of our minds, Mercury, and our hearts, Venus. Mercury relates to the way our minds work and process information, to friends, travel, markets and to systems. Venus relates to connection, and can generally be interpreted as our connection to everything we love and value in our lives. Both planets will be uniquely influencing us during Virgo and Libra seasons; Mercury is on the verge of its next retrograde (9/9 - 10/2) during which it's closest to Earth and becomes invisible and Venus is on the verge of invisibility travelling on the opposite side of the Sun, the part of the cycle when it's farthest from Earth. Interesting...

Astro-Weather Events in September:

Mercury Retrograde in Libra and Virgo - September 9th - October 2nd

Pisces Full Moon - September 10th

Libra New Moon - September 25th

As the planets, Sun and Moon do their perfect, divine dances, as well as the energy and influence of the zodiac signs, it's important to remember the Law of Correspondence and to know that these energies exist within as well. Remember to tune into yourself for guidance. You can also tune into them just as you would a Angel or Spirit Guide. If the road gets bumpy, feels scarce or wildly out of balance, there's power in the pause and in returning to your heart. I've been re-watching the movie Eat, Pray, Love often lately, and the Love chapter is particularly focused on balance. If you haven't yet seen the movie or read the book, I highly recommend it!

We also have many tools and resources available to help guide you through these next several months of rough weather in the Cosmos. Mandee and I are teaching our Reaping the Rewards of Retrograde class again, which begins on Wednesday, September 14th. We all offer services and events that can assist and guide you in your own abundance and balance journeys!

From my Libra Sun and Virgo Moon, to your Libra and Virgo parts,

Ursula

Balanced and Abundant

I had a blast creating my contribution to this month's Soul Broadcast for the Balanced and Abundant theme. My current A, B, C’s of crystal campaign on Instagram and Facebook had presented itself to be right on time as every crystal I researched again, and got reintroduced to, had shown me a way of bringing balance into my life and well, it’s another AHA moment on my crystal journey. When I tell people they buzz and talk to me I know I sound absolutely crazy, completely bonk nannas but fine then, I’m out of my crazy cave, I’m the crazy rock lady!

The following crystals can bring balance to you, the environment, the situation, the mind, the body, as well as abundance and creative healing!

Yin Yang Crystal Grid by Kendra

Pictured in Grid:

Galena

Brings balance on all levels

Fluorite

Balances aura

Hematite

Restores peace and harmony into the body

Labradorite

Aligns physical and etheric bodies, calms an overactive mind

and energized imagination

Smokey Quartz

Neutralizes negative vibrations and clears unwanted,

unmatched energy

Pyrite Heart

Attracts abundance, wealth and prosperity

Sunstone Heart

Brings in joy and sweetness while encouraging you to nurture yourself

and harmonizes all organs

White Quartz

Holds and amplifies intention, brings tranquility, calm and peace into a space

I suggest you purchase some of these and add them to your collection! If you're excited right now, imagine what your life would be like right now with balance. Balance is key! We wish things away or wish them in, but we all know that’s not how it works. This can be as strategic as you want it to be, or as mindless as you want to be. Just try to imagine being balanced and not being run ragged, overstressed, over worried, sick, tired and rundown. Bet you have to really think about the last time you felt inner peace? If it’s been more than a few days, you're hurting yourself!

I hope you will take a minute for yourself right now and take a look at the picture of the Yin Yang crystal grid. Maybe a certain stone is making you look twice or feel intrigued; focus on that stone or all of them. Make a conscious decision to accept the balance intentions from each stone and from me as you follow the pattern however you see fit. Sit with your intention for inner peace for a while and when you are ready to end the session put your hands over your heart and take a deep breath and say out loud or to yourself:

I am well, I am balanced, I am abundant, I am creative, I have solutions, I am healthy, I am supported, I am at peace.

The Obsidian in the grid will protect your energy body and shield the aura, and it will ground you to the Earth.

I hope you enjoy this Crystal Reiki healing. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or book a session with me on the Sea Goddess website!

I’m offering 25 minute distance balance sessions now through 9/22.

Bountiful and Balanced

It’s taken me over 30 years to realize Balanced and Bountiful is not a destination, but yet instead it’s a daily dance with a mindset. I say it's a dance because just as a performer practices to walk a tightrope or dance a new routine - it takes practice and it takes determination to master these mindsets. Balanced and Bountiful doesn’t just happen passively, but it takes an active awareness of one's conscious determination to learn what Balanced and Bountiful truly means to oneself. This is not a one-size-fits-all, “follow these simple steps” to achieve bliss process. Oh no, I’m sorry to say it’s a dance with all sides of life, good, bad, easy, hard, dark and light. It’s a full recognition that it’s not ever going to be easy or perfect but it will always be worth it. It’s the realization that every day you wake up is another opportunity to practice this intentional dance and course correct as needed to better serve yourself! It’s so much more than you could ever fit into a Webster dictionary definition. It’s a permission slip to go within and recognize programming you were unaware of and consciously reprogram. It's unique to each soul just like our reason for being here. This can’t be mastered overnight, or within a year because it’s a constant evolving mindset that grows and changes with us. It ebbs and flows through the seasons of our journey just like the seasons in my beautiful home state of Vermont. This is a long term commitment to yourself and your happiness. There’s days that flow with ease and then days that feel more like a roller coaster ride you're not sure how to get off. For those tough days, knowing the things that can help you feel balanced and trying to add them in can help you during trying times. It’s during the challenges that we have the opportunity to practice the Balanced and Bountiful mindset and have an opportunity to show up for ourselves and love ourselves through it all!

Herbs for Bountiful Balance:

Ashwagandha - a well loved root used for thousands of years in teas and tinctures to balance various conditions that arise from ‘vata’ and ‘dosha’ imbalances. A grounding, nourishing herb, that encourages youth and vitality as it’s an adaptogen and nervine that helps cope with stress, adrenal fatigue, and supports overall health.

Red Raspberry Leaf - chock full of vitamins and trace minerals and supports the immune system. It’s a great herb to smoke as it may neutralize poison caused by tobacco and can help one wean off tobacco. The many benefits of this plant include detoxification, cleansing the blood, balances and protects reproductive organs and hormones, anti-inflammatory and apoptogenic. Sip or Toke!

Affirmations for Balanced and Bountiful:

I Am inwardly and outwardly balanced

My life is Bountiful

I readily accept all forms of abundance from the Universe

I AM Now creating life exactly as I want it

Card Spread:

Card 1 | Card 2 | Card 3

What you need to support your balance mindset

Where support is needed to align with bountiful energy

What’s to come when you practice a balanced and bountiful mindset!

The Balancing Act

by Jennifer Alvarado, The Jane Doe Project

Image: Rui Xu on Unsplash

Life is a balancing act. You not only have to take the good with the bad but you have to realize that most of the time, it's good that comes from the bad.

Lotus flowers often remind me of life's balancing act. They come from the mud and develop into one of the most beautiful flowers. You are a Lotus flower. You can rise from the mud. All you have to do is find YOUR balance.

Finding balance isn't always an easy task. It requires feeling emotions that might make you uncomfortable. You have to create strong boundaries and you must use your voice. Finding a much needed balance is like rising from the mud. It can be thick and sticky, but once you make it through, your beautiful light will shine.

Deeply Rooted

by Krystle J Bailey, The Daily Bailey

Image: Khamkéo Vilaysing on Unsplash

Deeply Connected to those

who came before her

Those who bore the burdens

Those who paved the way

Those who gave rise to her existence.

Roots of generations past

Intertwined with the roots of her

Earthly experience.

Love, loss, trauma, triumph ..

Joy, sadness, anger...

And a deep Connection….

To all that is pure,

All that is good….

All that is real….

These are the roots

That build.

The roots that withstand:

the wind,

The rain,

The storm.

The roots that hold her majestic being

and Allow her to Become

all that this

Wrinkle in time

Needs her to be.

She embodies an ineffable strength.

The heartwood that sits

At the core of her being

Is filled of love.

Overflowing as it extends outward.

The giving of her heart and soul

Freely and unapologetically..

She is abundant.

Dead branches fall away

As new leaves bloom

She may be broken

She has withstood the storm.

Yet she is powerful beyond measure.

She loves like being broken

Didn't hurt.

She expands.

She provides shelter.

She blossoms

She wilts

She cries.

And licks

The sweet taste of her own sap

Off the bark of her lips

Finding comfort in her own

Vulnerability.

She is strength… in every sense of the word.

She ...is…abundant.

She is deeply rooted.

She is love.
