Connecting to the Cosmic Heart with Venus in Pisces

When we think about the planets and the meaning of each one, Venus (or Aphrodite) is most commonly associated with Love. This common association is true, however Venus has a much deeper meaning. That deeper meaning is connection; Venus represents our connection to everything and everyone that we love and value in our lives. The lens through which we see and feel this connection is flavored by Venus’s placement in our own natal charts, as well as collectively as Venus journeys through the zodiac. When Venus is in the zodiac sign of Pisces, the current sign of its sojourn, an energy of what’s known as “exaltation” is reached. Pisces is the sign that signifies transcendence of this human experience. It relates to our connection to Source, the Divine, God, whatever your preference. It’s sensitive, compassionate, deeply feeling, imaginative and intuitive. It speaks in the language of Spirit, Soul, dreams and art. It senses our deeper connection to each other beyond the physical, and ultimately to the Cosmic Heart. When the planet of connection is in the sign of connectedness, our collective experience is saturated with flavors of Divine Love. Venus has been in Pisces since January 26th, and will be until February 20th.
We can track a planet through the zodiac, but a deeper meaning can unfold when we track the planet’s cycle as well. Think back to January 8th, 2022. What has materialized in your life concerning matters of the heart since then? Is there a maturation happening? Is something growing or unfolding that’s important to your values? A new Venus cycle began (in the sign of Capricorn) on January 8th, 2022. We are now in the maturation phase of this current cycle. Venus is now visible in the evening sky, just after Sunset, dazzling us from the inky parts of the post-Sunset rainbow. There’s wisdom in the heart of Venus in this phase, and there’s wisdom also growing within us, and the highest vibration energy of connectedness to the Cosmic Heart at this time in Pisces.
In my personal experience and practice, one of the best ways to connect with a planet is visually. The Love Rx from Venus right now is a rich dose of oneness, unconditional Love and Divine connection; it can be experienced by looking up after Sunset and absorbing the energy with your eyes and feeling it with your entire being. I also practice planetary connection with meditation, dreamwork and altars. One of my favorite crystals to assist with connecting with Venus is Golden Rutilated Quartz; it's said that the golden rutile threads are the hair of the Goddess, Venus.

Love Rx Has Me Befuddled

Love RX has me befuddled, I’m not gonna lie. We have known about this topic for a while now. Every time I go back to it, I get a little more anxious. Maybe it’s because I myself have no clue what the prescription for love is. I am on my third marriage, and refuse to make anyone think it has been a walk in the park. The difference between this marriage, and the other two is me. I’ve changed. Who I am, how I handle life, conflict, my responses and actions to not only myself, but also my spouse. Also, it’s easy to focus specifically on “romantic” love because after all, isn’t that what Valentine’s Day is supposed to be about?
At least by Hallmark’s standards.
To me though, the prescription, or cure to love or not receiving it, is me, or you, if
you’re reading this. To let you inside of my head here, I’ve always struggled with fairy tales. I wanted them, but somewhere inside of me knew that wasn’t realistic. I chased it anyway. Always settling upon the first thing that appeared in the forest to save me from my coma of life. Praying each one was going to erase all of the bad for me. Making me rich, while moving me into the castle of my dreams. My question is, how many of you want/wanted that too? How many of you also got swept into the frenzy of what presented itself as prince, or princess charming, just to find out your toad was never going to change? That’s the issue though. Taking all “gifts” out of this, I personally believe each of us are born with a soul
heart. That soul heart knows the power of love because we’re all made of that. Those of us that keep that light, long to have that back because earth cannot fill that void.
As children we grip onto the love stories, the fairytales and the happy endings because we know what that is. When we find what we think we’re looking for in human form, we grip ahold hoping, praying, and sometimes begging whatever exists outside of us, that that’s our epoxy. That human now has this incredible pressure to fill things in us that we don’t even know we need. Once we see they aren’t doing it, that’s when we start pushing blame, because if only they could, we wouldn’t need, right?
Wrong. No, the remedy is us. Me, you, individually us. All forms of love actually start with us.
Because each of us were shaped as individuals with different needs, understanding, traumas, dramas, and understanding of what we think “love” is. Wanting someone to share your life with as a companion is never bad. It’s beautiful, and as an empathic medium I can tell you, some people are blessed the most amazing spouses. I’m not going to lie, it’s those readings that kept me open to allowing someone else in. At the end of the day though, unless you date you, marry you, love you, sit with you, forgive you, meet you, and know your actual needs without the validation of others, I’m convinced you will never be able to do that, with, and for, somebody else. Sure you can date, spend time with, and go through the motions. However, if you can’t be honest, and real about your intentions, insecurities, toxic behaviors, feelings, expectations, fears, and doubts, while holding yourself accountable with
love, how can you do that with others?
In my own personal experiences, love happens when you’re vulnerable. Vulnerability starts with you. It’s holding space with and for yourself. It’s showing up on a daily basis for your own mental and emotional wellbeing. It’s taking care of you. I told you I wouldn’t sugarcoat this marriage. The greatest gift my husband has given me so far is my ability to say no. He’s taught me through the drama of his life, with his people, how to truly stick up for myself and say no. He’s taught me to love myself, stick up for me, be in my corner. To place my personal needs in the forefront of my life, because for too long I put others first. That was more so during and after my first marriage. I wanted to be loved so bad I found myself bending and breaking in ways that made me lose complete comprehension of who I was. I remember now. That came with a lot of downs, nos, and me pissing off a lot of the people in his life, but here I am. Slowly, but surely finding the Goddess that resides in me. To me, self love is the prescription. My job is to love me, and give that to others that see equal value in vulnerability, honesty, self awareness, self growth, and self responsibility. It is no longer to intertwine myself into the same insecurities I either have, or used to have, masked as my Prince Charming. As I stated, I’m growing into a Goddess. The last I checked they sat higher on a throne than a prince.
Find yourself. Date yourself. Marry yourself. Truly love yourself. Be your own
cure for love. Then take that and give it to the world.
