Reweaving

Reweaving is an energy, skill, and an opportunity. We are currently experiencing Eclipse Season and Mercury Retrograde. This is an excellent time to allow ourselves to reflect and give ourselves true choices about where we would like to reweave our life. Perhaps you need more balance in certain corners than others. Perhaps you have some subtle changes happening in your body or your mind or your soul. Perhaps you're wanting to reweave and make big changes in your life. Maybe move or change jobs, commit to something big. If you tune into your heart, the compass of your soul, you will feel the energy of your current true north running through you. That may be scary, but it will always tell you what the next step is to take.
That's where the art and the skill of it comes in. Being able to intuit the next thread to weave. It also takes conscious choice and energy. You have to choose where you want to thread certain aspects of your life and how you want to do that. You are the sower, so you get to choose which threads go where and when. You're creating a tapestry. That's also where the opportunity comes. We can keep weaving what we are already balancing or we can change colors and threads and find out what is actually more soothing and fitting to our soul.

The Fates: The Destiny Goddesses

When we were choosing April’s Soul Broadcast topic, and the idea of Reweaving was mentioned, I immediately thought of learning about The Fates. The myth of The Fates, the goddesses who weave and assign destiny to every mortal at birth, always intrigued me. The concept of Fate and Destiny always intrigued me as well, and then I learned Astrology and the myths and concepts began to solidify into something less metaphorical and more real. As the story goes, there are three Fates: Clotho, the Spinner, Lachesis, the Alloter, and Atropos, the Inflexible. Each name translates to the goddess’s task in the destiny weaving and assigning process. More interestingly, each one is also related to a period of time: Clotho, the present, Lachesis, the future, and Atropos, the past.
Reweaving, learning about The Fates, Destiny and increasing self-awareness are perfect topics for this month since we are officially in the first Eclipse Season of the year. Our birth charts hold the energy and many clues as to what The Fates may have had in mind for us, as well as how our own Soul may have been guiding the thread for them before we incarnated. In many branches of Astrology, the Nodes of the Moon are considered the “destiny points” in our birth charts, as well as the collective destiny points as they continue moving through the sky creating eclipses, dancing with dragons and nudging reweaving with every cycle. The nuances, changes and reweavings happen to get us back in touch with The Fates, to get us back on our path in some way. The pair of eclipses this season have some very potent energetic signatures relating to fate and destiny both personally and collectively.

1st Eclipse (Lunar) - Libra Full Moon on March 25th
2nd Eclipse (Total Solar) - Aries New Moon on April 8th
Mercury Retrograde in Aries - April 1st - April 25th
Eclipse Season ends on April 23rd with the Scorpio Full Moon

The Importance of Ebb & Flow

With the changing of seasons, especially Spring (in my opinion), big changes often come in our lives. The major shifting that happens in Spring, is due in part, to the coinciding eclipses or eclipse season.
Eclipses (of both sun and moon) always bring change, shake-ups, and usually unexpected events, actions and reactions. Oftentimes this leaves us with the need to Re-Weave the threads that make up the fabric of our life. Re-Think the people, places, and experiences that led us to where we are now. Decisions are made that can and will affect the rest of our lives.
This is not all doom and gloom however, and certainly not a time to be feared. Eclipse season can also be a time of great revelation and freedom. TRUTH is also something that comes with the eclipses. Depending on your perception, this can be a great gift. The ability to see the truth, for me, is a gift. With that gift of truth, comes gratitude, even when the truth is uncomfortable.
During these times, the Universe shows us what needs adjustment, what serves our highest good, and what does not. It shows us what adds to our quality of life, and what steals our peace. Of course it is up to us what we do with this information. But again, this is a gift...the gift of CHOICE, and with choice comes FREEDOM.
My best advice in navigating all this, as the oracle card I pulled above says....to EBB & FLOW with the changes. Being rigid and clinging to things that are calling to be released, creates resistance. Resistance, in turn, creates frustration and energy blockages.
So, it is very important to remember that everything we release from our lives, creates space for what is truly in alignment to enter. Keeping this in mind can help ease the discomfort of unavoidable change and life shifts. Relax and surrender to the EBB & FLOW of this highly energetic time. In the words of Bruce Lee..."Be like water."
